Olujumobi Orioye, LL.B. (Hons) Ibadan, B.L, ACIArb, was called to the Nigerian Bar and enrolled as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in September, 1999.

He has been an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) since 2004.

He has been in active litigation since he was called to bar starting his career at the chambers of Abiola Orioye & Co., Ibadan, Oyo State in 1999, where he had the privilege of being personally trained in the foundations of litigation and appeals by his father (now late).

He moved on to the chambers of Moshood, Oniyangi & Co. (later became Moshood Shehu & Co.), Lagos from January 2001 to 2003 where he gained the rudimentary experience in corporate practice.

He joined the chambers of Ade Oyebanji & Co., Lagos in 2003, where he harnessed his skills as a crack litigation lawyer as well as a resourceful corporate and investment solicitor. He rose to become a partner in the law firm in 2007 and continued until 2012 when he fully joined Filial Partners, a partnership he co-founded with his colleague and brother.

He has a wealth of experience in diverse areas of law particularly in commercial practice areas. He has carved out a niche for himself in commercial litigation and has since successfully handled cases for and against corporate organizations.

He has handled sensitive commercial arbitration proceedings as arbitrator and counsel.

He is an advocate of alternative dispute resolution. Though himself well experienced in legal technicalities, he strongly believes in expeditious resolution of disputes either in court or arbitration by concentrating on the substance of dispute instead of unnecessary technicalities.

He has also been involved in mediation and has settled a lot of cases at the Lagos Multidoor Court House and Oyo State Multidoor Court House as well as private mediation sessions.

He has wide range of experience in investments, oil and gas, maritime, construction, telecommunication, power, banking, entertainment, labour, real property and intellectual property.
